Preparing For A Backcountry Hike

There is an old saying about back country camping gear equipment that no hiker can afford to forget. The adage is "Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you." This is an important saying that most hikers need to live by.

A hiker who is planning a backcountry hike needs to carefully pack all the camping gear and supplies. An all day hike can be very grueling and therefore the individual needs to pack the camping gear and equipment that he or she is most comfortable with.

While packing for a backcountry hike, the hiker needs to pack camping equipment and supplies that include items such as a stove, cookware and tent stakes. The hiker also needs to make sure that sharp edged camping gear that he or she packs is carefully packed so that it will not poke the hiker. The hiker also needs to pack the items in a balanced weight so that the weight on the hiker is even.

A very important camping gear supply that all hikers hiking in the backcountry need to remember to pack are LED flashlights. Flashlights are essential camping gear equipment that no hiker can afford to hike without.

Another important camping gear supply that almost all experienced hikers hike with is a small repair kit. All hikers should carry along with them heavy duty sewing needles as well as upholstery thread.
